Message from the Head of School
We are a community of learners. This carries over to ALL aspects of our lives. Last weekend, our school family celebrated at the amazing 26th Gala & Auction in true Paint The Town Red a la Cirque fashion. As guests danced, dined, and celebrated, the commitment to educate our future leaders at Jewish Day Schools such as DKJA was apparent.
Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors and those who contributed so magnanimously to the Karen Feller Scholarship Fund, more young lives will be enriched with Torah values and academic achievement.
From the bottom of my heart, I am eternally grateful to have been honored as the recipient of the Linda R. Kaminow Visionary Leadership Award, which was presented to me at the Gala, and for the contributions for the children of DKJA through the scholarship fund that bears my name. Toda! (More photos of the Gala will be available soon for you to enjoy).

As we prepare to ready ourselves and our homes for Passover, our knowledgeable first-graders embraced learning in a hands-on manner as they rolled up their sleeves and perfected the art of matzah preparation, which is an annual highlight. Model Seders also were enjoyed by students, who will be well-versed at family gatherings for Pesach. Mazel tov!
Earlier this morning, our fifth-graders proudly participated in the Chagigat Kabbalat Tanach (Celebration upon Receiving the Tanach). This cherished book will be a part of their lives for many years, and they will continue our legacy of being a community of learners. What a wonderful week!

Shabbat Shalom,
Karen Feller

We are very excited to let you know that, in conjunction with the PTO, we are having a Passover cooking demonstration and tasting by Sharon Glass from South Africa! Israel Turns 62 This Year - Parade Planned
In honor of this special event, 1,500 students from local Jewish Day Schools in South Palm Beach County will come together to salute Israel on its celebration of Israel Independence Day. Future Astronauts of America from DKJA
Have you ever imagined yourself at the controls of the space shuttle or feeling the g-forces of space flight, or preparing for a launch at Kennedy Space Center? The fifth-grade students did when they traveled to the Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) at Kennedy Space Center, and immersed themselves in the world of today's astronauts. The program they participated in wa s an exciting combination of hands-on training and preparation for the rigors of spaceflight. Students especially loved the spaceflight training simulators and running through a full-scale space shuttle mission.
Students Introduce Themselves in Hebrew to Israeli "Friends"
Boca Raton and Kiryat Bialik have a wonderful relationship and a phenomenal “Living Bridge” due to our P2K Teacher Exchange programs.
The students in sixth grade, with their teacher Mrs. Lontok, have paired up with the students at Kadima Middle School in Kiryat Bialik and communicate through interactive websites and technology. They are able to place their pictures and recorded messages online, introducing themselves in Hebrew on the websites. Pairing up of teachers and classes from the two communities brings another dimension to the wonderful relationships.
Students hope to build friendships while they are in sixth grade so that when they visit Israel in eighth grade they will have the opportunity to see familiar faces!
